Gemiler Island had hosted some ancient civilizations. In the north of the island, you can anchor and lay a long chain and stay overnight tying the boat to the shore; or you can anchor and stay in the bay on the north side of the island. The bay is connected to Fethiye by road. Just east of it is the famous Dead Sea. It is a place worth seeing.
